Nestled in the heart of the Trossachs National Park, our retreat provides access to quiet and unspoilt trails. Run through ancient woodlands, past shimmering lochs, and over rolling hills with each step bringing you closer to nature. The diverse terrain provides the perfect opportunity to challenge yourself whilst enjoying magnificent views.

Nestled on the tranquil shores of Loch Katrine in the heart of Scotland's breathtaking Trossachs National Park, Royal Cottage is an idyllic Scottish retreat venue offering a perfect escape into nature. Originally built for Queen Victoria's visit, this historic cottage blends timeless charm with modern comforts and provides a secluded haven and the opportunity to properly switch off and unwind during your stay.

Retreat activities

  • Trail running – our qualified run leader Lauren will be guiding you along a variety of scenic trails the Trossachs has to offer – all starting from the front door of Royal Cottage.
  • Running drills – a variety of workouts will be delivered including resistance training, circuits and recovery sessions.

  • Fitness sessions – fitness and mobility sessions designed to compliment your running.

  • Stretch & recovery sessions– give your muscles a bit of TLC post-run with guided stretching and foam-rolling.
  • Cold water swimming– brave the icy waters of Loch Katrine for a recovery swim!

Food that nourishes the soul

Food is a huge part of any retreat experience, and we make sure it's just as good as the workouts! That's why we focus on healthy, satisfying meals that keep you fuelled and energised. No calorie counting, no cutting out food groups—just nutritious, hearty dishes made with fresh, wholesome ingredients. You'll enjoy three delicious meals a day, plus tasty snacks to keep you going, so you'll never go hungry. Because when you're training hard, you deserve food that works just as hard for you!
